Once we get older, it’s so easy to get wrapped up in winning — it’s probably the Charlie Sheen breakdown catchphrase that was most often repeated. (And how silly do those of you with “Winning” t-shirts feel now?) Everyone wants to “win” — win the girl, win the job, win the bragging rights, win at life. Sadly, though, we tend to forget the freedom and fun of just being part of the game. L’equip petit is here to remind you that just because you don’t score doesn’t mean that you’re not fabulous.
The kids of Margatania F.C. are not so skilled at football/soccer — they have yet to score, much less win an actual game. And yet, the more you watch, the less it even matters. It’s so refreshing to see the kids, parents and coaches just celebrate the small moments (passing the half-way line, actually getting to the other team’s goal instead of their own) and how much they enjoy playing and each other.
There are so many adorable moments in here, like in the beginning, when each player describes how many goals they’ve scored and later what they would do when they score a goal. Or why the other teams keep beating them. I utterly adore every single one of these children and will keep their lessons close to my heart.
