20 Questions with Enchanted’s Kevin Lima

December 6, 2007 by Amy

I am utterly fascinated by Kevin Lima's career -- an eight-year association with Marc Kohler’s The Puppet Workshop, a summer job with Eve Brook’s Costume Shop where he helped create costumes for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus and extensive experience with a little place called Walt Disney Pictures. And I think that he just might be the Zac Efron of the Disney … [Read more...] about 20 Questions with Enchanted’s Kevin Lima

February 13, 2007 by Amanda

Eleni Mandell's new album Miracle of Five (released on Zedtone last week) sounds different with each listen. At first, it's a string of old-fashioned torch songs. Then lyrics start to come forward, and things get a little quirky. You might refer to the cover art, and notice the songs have names like "Salt Truck" and "Make-out King." And, finally, there's an overtone of pop -- … [Read more...] about 20 Questions with Eleni Mandell

PopGurls for Thought

I spent half an hour designing a gingerbread man at that party, speaking to no one. Just really getting into making a little yellow bikini on my gingerbread man, which then garnered everyone’s respect. But I wasn’t being a social person — I didn’t apologize for that, and everybody left me alone because they know that I’m weird like that. - Lennon Parham

The Random

The Big Love Scene at the Bar. Rod tells Kevin that he can empathize with what Kevin fells for Abbey: “You want something so bad it hurts. I just admire your passion, Kev.” Rod then pulls out a cassette tape and pushes it in front of Kevin. “You inspired me to write this. And, uh, I figured if you could put yourself on the line to find that girl, I could do the same.” The song “Falling” swells in the background. Rod touches Kevin on the shoulder and leaves, while Kevin looks lingeringly after him. U.S.: Yeah, okay. It’s all pretty much just text, there. Melynee, Amy
