Faster Than the Speed of Light

September 12, 2011 by Amy

I saw the Jeremy Piven “walking his Emmys” photo posted with all the “what a dick” commentary not far behind.

Then this video popped up on my tumblr feed (FYI, popgurls tumblr here) with the explanation:

So, my friend Eric just got back from a comedy shoot he did with Jeremy Piven, and as he was editing some of the photos, this happened…

PS- the shoot was for a commercial, but notice how quick the media spin it into him being a douchebag. This was only hours ago and it’s all over tumblr

PPS- Eric reports that Jeremy Piven was one of the coolest guys he’s ever worked with

Now, it’s not that Piven hasn’t done his fair share in the past to prove himself quite the ass. But it’s interesting to see how the media gets a glimpse of something, feels no need to get the actual story behind it because they want to be the first to expose it and spins it into something completely different. Can you imagine the damage it does when it’s actually about something important?

I’m trying to coin multiple phrases. I also like the word jamming, or jammers, so I’ve been trying to get jam in every episode. -- Lennon Parham

The Random

Yes, yes, Grease is by far the superior product. We’re not really going to argue with you on that one. But there is something so uplifting, something so toe-tappingly spectacular about a roomful of people way too old to be teenagers, playing teenagers, chasing each other around a classroom asking “Where does the pollen go?” that it can’t be ignored. -- Michelle
