SNL: We're Really Going To Miss You

May 20, 2012 by Caitlin O

The rumors of Saturday Night Live facing the departure of their biggest stars have been flying for a few months now, so fans of the show tuned in with already-heavy hearts, bracing themselves for the last of powerhouse Kristen Wiig, Digital Shorts mastermind Andy Samberg, and always dependable Jason Sudeikis. While it's not entirely clear that the latter will definitely be out … [Read more...] about SNL: We're Really Going To Miss You

Buffy: The End

May 27, 2003 by PopGurls All

How did we feel about Buffy the Vampire Slayer at the very end? In a word: Underwhelmed. Melynee: And in a surprising turn of events, I was pleasantly surprised by the End o'Buffy. One of the best side-effects (aside from making me miss my academic-paper-writing days--what's up with that?) of writing our series-end collection of articles here at popgurls may be that I went … [Read more...] about Buffy: The End

If Melynee Wrote Buffy In seven seasons worth of story arcs, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has covered a lot of ground--from Buffy … [Read more...] about Buffy: If We Wrote It

Dawson’s Creek: Capeside Redemption

May 16, 2003 by PopGurls Admin

A huge chunk of my life - that I’ve devoted time and energy and fanfic to - came to … [Read more...] about Dawson’s Creek: Capeside Redemption

X-Files: Adieu, To You and You and…

May 21, 2002 by PopGurls All

Written by Amanda, Kathy Adams Like Chris Carter, we had a larger plan, and it was this: Watch the last four episodes of the X-Files, review them together each Monday in AIM, slap a catchy title on it ("Four for the Road") and put it up on PopGurls for posterity. There was a major flaw in this plan. Two, even. First, we wrongly assumed that we would be able to sit down and … [Read more...] about X-Files: Adieu, To You and You and…

PopGurls for Thought

The Big Love Scene at the Bar. Rod tells Kevin that he can empathize with what Kevin fells for Abbey: “You want something so bad it hurts. I just admire your passion, Kev.” Rod then pulls out a cassette tape and pushes it in front of Kevin. “You inspired me to write this. And, uh, I figured if you could put yourself on the line to find that girl, I could do the same.” The song “Falling” swells in the background. Rod touches Kevin on the shoulder and leaves, while Kevin looks lingeringly after him. U.S.: Yeah, okay. It’s all pretty much just text, there. Melynee, Amy
